The excellent young actor Montgomery Sutton played John Wilkes Booth in the Second Thought Theatre production of a new play called, of course, BOOTH. I was so taken by Monty's resemblance to his character that I brought him into the studio to recreate a 19th century "Carte de Visite."

ExxonMobil's Jack Balagia
Jack Balagia, VP and General Counsel for ExxonMobil came in for an executive portrait recently. Jack is a UT guy, so the choice of backdrop was pretty automatic.
From Ft. Knox to Ft. Worth
West Point grads, retired Army captains, twice deployed, now in Ft. Worth real estate. Armondo and Devon Reyes came from west Fort Worth for a photo shoot, and they think it was worth the drive. It was an honor to work with them.
"We want to offer our most sincere gratitude to you for the superb service you provided us. Truly, we were blown away by your process. We didn't feel pressured or rushed, and the direction you gave us was much appreciated. Indeed, we are NOT models - and we thank you for offering us much-needed guidance throughout the shoot!"
Headshot for a Good Cause
Every year, at Uptown Players "Broadway Our Way" benefit, we donate a headshot package to their silent auction. This year's winner was David McCoy, who is getting back into acting. With this headshot...
One for Russia
Former Exxon executive Don Humphreys needed a photo for a Russian oil company. So, if you're browsing Russian oil brochures, you may see this one.
Four Generations of Emerys
Robert Emery asked me to put together a four generation shot of his family, and I was only too pleased to do so. You don't often get a chance to do one of these.
After the Headshot
After we finished her headshot session, I moved Kimberly Maxwell over to an open window, for a little natural light shooting.
Cruise Ship Dancer Inez Turner
Inez came in for some new head and body shots. She's ready to audition and get back to sea, so if you own a cruise ship, let me know.
Dallas actor Parker Fitzgerald Headshot
Parker Fitzgerald is a young guy I've been watching, and shooting, for years now. Very talented. We've recently shared the stage at Lyric Stage in both 1776 and Desert Song.
New To The Market
Cassie Martinez, who has just moved to the North Texas area. You'll be seeing her at auditions soon.
The one and only Sir Actsalot, veteran Dallas character actor Grant James. See him soon in Dumb & Dumber 2 with Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey.
Most Prepared Subject
Had the pleasure of shooting some execs from EquityMetrix, an oil and gas services company in Dallas. Tom Agnew, the head man, was easily the most prepared subject I've ever had. He had studied CEO portraits and looks and knew exactly what he wanted. Must be why he's CEO.
Call Him "Slash"
Scott Eckert... musician/composer/conductor/actor/writer... he does it all.
Rand Jordan came in for some headshots this week. I think we have some modeling potential here.
Katy Comes Back
The first time I did Katy's headshots she was about 10. Now, she's an upperclassman at SMU, and a superb, talented actor. I still boast that I'm the one who turned her on to the Marx Brothers and helped sharpen her comedy chops.
Diana Sheehan and the 30's
It's always fun to play with Diana Sheehan, the talented singer/actor. She's prepping a new show based on the music of Gertrude Lawrence, a star of the 30's and 40's. And so, that's the way we shot.
Dallas Life & Business coach Kathleen Taylor-Gadsby. By Mark Oristano Photography.
Shooting on Location
At the Hall of State in Fair Park.
Budding Child Star
Bradley Newman, budding dance star, and his new look.
Greg Hullett, with whom I shared the stage in VICTOR, VICTORIA a while back.
Rachael's New Headshot
Creekview HS actor Rachael Havard came in for some headshots. In case your computer monitor is out of whack, Rachael has red hair.
